Kashmir is beautiful all year, so the best time for a Kashmir honeymoon depends on the kind of trip you picture.
- Snow-lovers: late December to February.
- Flowers and pleasant weather: April to June.
- Quiet and golden: late September to early November.
- Book houseboats and 5-star rooms early in peak months.
Winter (December to February): for snow
Snowy Gulmarg, cosy rooms, Kahwa by the fire and a sledge ride together. Cold, quiet and very romantic, but plan for road closures and pick hotels with good heating. Our luxury Kashmir honeymoon works well in winter.

Spring (March to May): for blossom
Tulips and almond blossom in Srinagar, snow still on the peaks, comfortable days. April is the most colourful month; book early. Try the romantic Kashmir tour.

Summer (May to June): for meadows
Long days, green meadows in Gulmarg and Pahalgam, and every road open. Busy, especially in June. The Kashmir 4-star honeymoon package is a popular choice.

Autumn (September to November): for golden quiet
Our favourite for honeymoons: clear skies, chinar colours, fewer people and better rates from November.

Wedding-season tips
- Book houseboats and top hotels two to three months ahead for winter and spring.
- Ask for flower decoration, a cake or a candle-light dinner when you book.
- Keep at least one free afternoon in every two days.
